Our parish has contracted with Kayafas Architects of Wheeling WV to draw up designs for the following projects:

• solutions to the roof water intrusion
• restoration of the domes
• adding interior stairs and an elevator for accessible entry to the church and parish hall, and
• refinishing the parish hall and hall interior lighting.

Our parish is grateful to God for our current growth and vitality! However, we recognize that we must take care of the beautiful building that has been entrusted to us by our forebearers. As we complete the work on the iconography project in the next few years, we must address the leaks in the roof that have been damaging our ceiling in the choir loft. Additionally, our domes are in great need of attention far beyond simple repair. The growth that we have seen in new parishioners and families has also made us aware that we need interior stairs both for convenience and safety, as well as to provide accessible entrance to the building for our beloved senior parishioners and those with disabilities. Finally, our parish hall, where we spend much quality time together in fellowship, is in need of an update for comfort and usability. 

Kayafas Architects comes with high recommendations from the Orthodox Monastery of the Transfiguration in Ellwood City PA. We look forward to the plans they will provide which enables us to look to the future. As these plans are delivered, a general parish meeting will be held to discuss, deliberate, and present for approval any specific construction plans and costs moving forward.
